Geology TX - Integrity Logic iPhone App Looking for an iPhone App Developer ?  What if you could hold all of Texas in the palm of your hand? Geology TX is the Texas edition of the first GIS for the iPhone. It is a self-contained application (no Internet or cellular access required) that contains a vast amount of information about the geology and geography of Texas. This release contains 21 layers, which can be combined in any desired way: - states outlines - the complete geological map from USGS - terrain elevation - bathymetry (ocean depth) - USGS quadrangles - quaternary faults - older faults - all earthquakes of magnitude 3.0 and above - urban areas - counties - hydrology - roads and major streets - all train tracks - all cities and towns - active mines - potassium/argon dates - state plane zones - UTM zones - vegetation zones - river basins - aquifers There have been a number of improvements since the release of the sister program Geology CA. In particular, bathymetry is now raster-based, which makes for a much richer map. Terrain can now be shaded for a more 3-D effect. New layers have been added. Performance has been improved. |
