List!---Secret-Society-Software iPhone App Looking for an iPhone App Developer ? A basic list management app. Features: • Single list • Landscape support • Multiline list item titles • Notes, priorities, and due dates • Contextual help • Icon badge number • Delete Checked/Check All/Uncheck All actions • Dynamic sorting on multiple attributes • In-app email of list and list items • In-app settings Although List! implements just a basic feature set, a lot of thought has been put into how those features have been implemented. Words such as easy to use, simple, and intuitive are used so frequently in app descriptions they’ve become clichéd. So instead of making any claims about the List! user experience, here’s a description of how List! handles just one feature, displaying and editing list items titles, so you can decide for yourself how List! compares to the implementation offered by other apps. List! is designed to support long descriptive list item titles. If an item title is too large to fit within a row, the height of the row is increased to accomodate the title. This allows you to scroll through list items and view the entire title of each without the need to navigate into the detail view for a particular item. Titles are edited in a multiline text area with large print so that it is not necessary to scroll back and forth through a single line porthole view of the title. List! supports both portrait and landscape orientations, so you can use the more expansive landscape keyboard to enter text if that is your preference. Because the standard multiline text areas don't have delete buttons, List! adds one, so if you want to clear the title you can do so without having to select all the text and cut it or delete it character by character. If you're in the middle of editing a title and have to quit List!, your work will be saved, so when you relaunch List!, you'll be taken right back to where you left off. On the settings screen, the default method for expanding rows to accomodate titles can be changed to either reduce the text size to fit within the space allocated for the row or simply truncate the excess text. Adding a list item with just a title can be accomplished by tapping the add button, entering the title, and tapping the back button. Directly editing a title can be accomplished by double tapping it which takes you directly to the title edit screen. After performing your edits there, tapping the back button returns you to the list. Aesthetically, if a title needs to be displayed across multiple lines, List! uses the minimum enclosing area needed for displaying the title. This creates a more compact visual block that can be taken in with a glance. |
